Choosing your meter can be a decision that can save you hundreds of pounds and hear are a few ideas for you to ponder.
The enviroment the meter is in is it open to fraud and tampering if your meter is installed in an unsecure enviroment i personally would choose an electronic lcd electric meter they are almost tamperproof and is only a matter of securing the tails from tamper by an outsider.
The electromechanical meters are another option but there are many ways people try to tamper with these meters and should not be an option if the enviroment is considered unsecure.
If fitting the meter outside make sure it is in an enclosure to protect from damp and severe cold as these can affect meter operation. Never buy an electric meters that is not approved in the uk as you can not use it for billing purposes and you could lose alot of money.
